A Ministry, Not a Business

East African Gospel — Built on Faith, Powered by Purpose

East African Gospel is a Christian ministry platform. We exist to glorify God by connecting, promoting, and uplifting Gospel artists across East Africa — Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, and beyond. This platform was not built to generate profit from artists or their music. It was built to serve the Kingdom of God.

🌍
About This Platform
Who we are and what we do

East African Gospel (hereinafter referred to as "the Platform," "we," "us," or "our") is a Christian music ministry website dedicated to promoting and unifying the sound of Gospel music across East Africa. We provide an online space where Gospel artists, worship leaders, instrumentalists, producers, and other Christian music ministers can be discovered by believers, churches, and organisations throughout the region and the world.

By registering a profile, uploading music, or using any feature of this Platform, you ("the Artist," "the User," "you") confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in full.

📌

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you and East African Gospel. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use this platform or submit any music or profile information.

✝️
Our Christian Mission
Faith-driven, Kingdom-focused

East African Gospel was founded on the conviction that music is one of the most powerful tools God has given His people to spread the Gospel, build up the Body of Christ, and bring glory to His name. We are a non-commercial Christian ministry whose sole purpose is to support and advance the work of Gospel music across East Africa.

"Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts."

— Colossians 3:16

Every feature on this platform — from artist profiles to music listings and event calendars — is designed to serve this God-given mission. We operate in the spirit of stewardship, not commerce, and we ask all artists to join us in this spirit as they engage with the platform.

3

  • Your music is Gospel music — songs that proclaim the Christian faith, glorify God, or encourage the Body of Christ.
  • You are based in East Africa (Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, Ethiopia, or Eritrea) or your music ministry is directed toward this region.

Music Upload Policy
Rules for submitting your songs

Each registered artist is permitted to upload a maximum of two (2) audio songs to their profile on this platform. These songs will be accessible to visitors of the platform for the purpose of music discovery and artist promotion.

By uploading your music, you confirm and warrant that:

  • You are the original creator of the music, or you have the full legal right and written permission to upload it.
  • The music does not violate the copyright, intellectual property, or other rights of any third party.
  • The lyrics and content of the songs are consistent with Christian values and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • The recordings are of a reasonable audio quality suitable for public sharing.
  • You understand and accept the No Monetisation Policy detailed in Section 5 of these Terms.
🎶

Upload limit: Each artist may upload up to two (2) songs only. If you wish to feature additional songs in the future, please contact us. We may review this limit from time to time as our platform grows.

We reserve the right to reject, remove, or request re-submission of any audio file that does not meet our technical or content standards, without obligation to provide detailed reasons for the decision.

This Platform Does Not Pay Artists

East African Gospel is a 100% non-commercial ministry platform. We do not generate revenue from your music, and we do not offer any form of monetary compensation, royalties, streaming payments, or financial reward to artists who upload their songs or register a profile on this platform.

We want to be completely transparent and honest with every artist who joins our platform. The following statements are non-negotiable terms of your participation:

  1. No royalties or streaming payments. East African Gospel does not collect, generate, or distribute music streaming revenue. Your uploaded songs are made available free of charge to visitors for the purpose of promoting your ministry — no money is earned or paid for plays or streams.
  2. No licensing fees paid to artists. We do not license your music for commercial use, and we do not receive licensing revenue from your uploaded songs. Accordingly, no licensing payments will be made to you.
  3. No appearance fees or profile fees. We do not charge visitors to listen to your music, and we do not pay artists for being listed on the platform. Being featured on East African Gospel is offered free of charge and is equally free of monetary benefit to the artist.
  4. No future retrospective payment obligation. Even if East African Gospel grows in the future and generates revenue through other means (such as advertising or events), this does not create any entitlement to past or future payment for artists whose music is already hosted on the platform.
  5. No implied financial agreement. Uploading music to this platform does not constitute a recording contract, distribution agreement, publishing deal, or any other form of commercial music arrangement. No financial relationship is created or implied.
🔴

Important Notice to Artists: By uploading your music to East African Gospel, you expressly acknowledge that you have been clearly informed that you will not receive any monetary compensation, royalties, payments, or financial rewards of any kind from this platform for your music or your presence on the platform. If you are seeking financial payment for your music, this platform is not the appropriate channel for that purpose. We are a ministry — not a music business.

"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."

— Ephesians 2:10

We believe that your music, offered in the spirit of ministry and service to God, carries a reward that far exceeds any earthly payment. Your faithfulness in using your gift to advance the Kingdom of God is itself a calling and a privilege. We are honoured to help amplify your voice across East Africa — not for profit, but for the glory of God.

6
Copyright & Music Ownership
Your music remains yours

We respect the creative work of every Gospel artist. Uploading your music to East African Gospel does not transfer ownership of your music to us. You retain full ownership of your songs, compositions, recordings, and all associated intellectual property rights at all times.

By uploading your music, you grant East African Gospel a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to:

  • Display your artist profile and music on the East African Gospel website and related digital channels.
  • Allow visitors to the platform to stream or listen to your uploaded songs for free, for personal and devotional purposes.
  • Share links to your profile and music through the platform's social media channels and newsletters, for the purpose of promoting your ministry.
  • Feature your music in platform-wide promotional materials such as "Featured Artists" sections, Gospel playlists, or editorial spotlights, at no charge to you and with no payment from us.
🔒

East African Gospel will never sell, license to third parties for commercial use, or exploit your music for financial gain. Our use of your music is strictly for the promotional and ministry purposes of this platform.

If you believe your copyright has been infringed upon by any content on this platform, please contact us immediately at our email address provided in Section 13, and we will act promptly to investigate and address your concern.
