East African Gospel is a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to raising a generation of uncompromising music leaders after God's own heart — equipping ministers through gospel-centered music, media, and community.
East African Gospel is a Christ-centred ministry with mission of raising Christ centred Music minister, music leaders after God’s own heart. We exist to bring glory to God by equipping ministers through gospel-centered music programs, media, conferences, and church partnerships.
We believe we have a unique calling: to develop Christ-Centered Ministers who are called to the local church and to city-reaching ministry.
We aren't simply interested in producing great singers or musicians, but rather servant-hearted worship leaders who have a firm grasp of Scripture — people whose art flows from a deep, authentic walk with God.
To raise Christ-Centered Ministers — a noncompromising generation of music leaders after God's own heart, who will influence the gospel industry and bring glory to Christ.
We see this vision fulfilled when we plant music schools in every city and town, training worship leaders who will reach and shape their nations for Jesus.
East African Gospel was founded by Samson Bukenya on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010. What began as a small seed vision grew from a single website — our first "office" — into a regional movement spanning five nations.
In October 2010, the vision was published online. On 1st December 2012, we officially launched the ministry at Kampala Kolping Hotel, with delegates from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi.
Despite limited resources, God provided through faithful partners. Since then we have sent mission teams to Kenya, Rwanda, and Burundi; hosted In Christ Alone conferences in 2013 and 2014; launched the World Music Mission conference in 2015; opened East African Gospel Academy in August 2015; and started Church Guide Uganda in 2017.
Through every season — even when our building was demolished for road construction, and through COVID lockdowns — God has continued to grow the mustard seed. We relocated to our current office in Mpererwe, Gayaza Rd in 2019, and the vision continues to expand.
